Facial Injectables are on the Rise

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), facial Injectables are on the rise and CaloSpa is no stranger to this trend. Over the last year we have seen more and more clients looking to refresh their look with procedures that are less invasive and not as costly as cosmetic plastic surgery. Clients have discovered that facial injectables can lead to very good results. Doctors Brad Calobrace and Nana Mizuguchi can achieve total facial rejuvenation through precise injections in both “as labeled” and “off-label” areas. Facial injectables can either fill in fine lines and wrinkles or they can add volume, which can create lift. Both techniques, filling and adding volume, will produce the most optimal outcome.

Products like Belotero, Restylane, and Juv̕ederm are commonly used on a superficial level. These products are great for addressing the area around the mouth and under the eyes. While they are typically used to fill in fine lines and wrinkles, they can also add some needed volume to the lips.

The loss of facial volume is a huge concern among our clients. Adding volume is what will create lift to particular areas on the face. Products like Radiesse and Scultpra can be injected at a much deeper level producing the fullness needed to create lift and to contour the face.

  • Radiesse, a thicker dermal filler that is also longer lasting, can be used to add volume to areas such as the cheeks, jowls and the hollow area under the eyes.
  • Scultpra is best suited for those who want to add volume by restoring lost collagen. Sculptra’s results can be seen over time and are longer lasting.

In conjunction to fillers, products like Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are used to minimize muscle movement. This allows softening of crow’s feet and can eliminate frown lines. When injected in particular muscles just above the brow line, they can also create lift. This gives the patient a more refreshed and natural look.
