Improvements From LipoLite
People who are good candidates for LipoLite are healthy, exercise regularly, and eat a sensible diet. Despite their best efforts, their problem areas persist and they are motivated to do something about this unwanted fat. LipoLite can be used to treat any area where traditional liposuction is appropriate. We have found the best areas include:
- Under the chin
- Upper arms
- Lower belly
- Inner thighs
You and your surgeon will discuss how to use this laser lipolysis device to maximize your results.
How It Works
LipoLite features a tiny tube, called a "cannula," which is inserted through a very small incision into the skin. The cannula contains a precise, powerful laser that liquefies deposits of fat cells within the treatment area. This liquefied fat is then removed through the same tiny incision using standard liposuction techniques. In addition to fat reduction, LipoLite tightens the skin to decrease the looseness that one sometimes sees with traditional liposuction. It can be utilized alone to treat smaller areas of fat, such as below the chin, or in combination with traditional liposuction to remove larger amounts of fat from areas such as the abdomen, flanks and thighs.
About the LipoLite Procedure
Dr. Calobrace and Dr. Mays perform LipoLite in our on-site, AAAAF-approved operating rooms. Because areas treated with LipoLite are typically small, our surgeons have achieved satisfying results for patients using local anesthesia with minimal discomfort. If the patient prefers, the procedure can be performed using general anesthesia.CaloSpa Rejuvenation Center
What to Expect During Recovery
When the anesthesia begins to wear off after treatment, you may experience minimal bruising plus minor aches and pains that naturally dissipate over time. Patient experiences vary.
Return to Work
You may be cleared to return to work as soon as the day after your procedure, but check with your surgeon for specific guidelines and restrictions.
While many patients notice an immediate improvement, patient experiences vary. Results are typically achieved 6 to 8 weeks after treatment after all swelling has dissipated and skin has become firmer. Most patients require only one treatment to attain the results they want.
