Our Fellow Junior Associate, Dr. Alex Pong
The CaloAesthetics Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship program is a 12-month program that provides advanced surgical and nonsurgical aesthetic medical procedure training for board-eligible plastic surgeons at our Louisville location.
We are pleased to introduce our current Fellow Junior Associate:
Dr. Alex Pong
Dr. Pong joins CaloAesthetics® from San Antonio, TX, where he earned his medical degree with honors and graduated first in his class from UT Health in San Antonio. Following this, he pursued an integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts, where he served as chief resident and gained extensive experience in a wide range of complex procedures.
Dr. Pong has a strong focus on aesthetic breast and body contouring procedures, aiming to help patients enhance their appearance and boost their self-confidence. He is dedicated to staying up to date with the latest advancements in the field to deliver outstanding results that align with his patients’ desires and goals.
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Pong enjoys exploring his culinary skills and discovering new dining experiences with friends. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and hiking with his two beloved dogs, Darwin and Piper.

Developed a training curriculum utilizing a live porcine model to train plastic surgery residents in various flap techniques, including fibula and abdominally based free flaps, as well as other pedicled flaps. 2021 – present |

Worked with Dr. Rothenberger to investigate the distribution and migration of the invasive Chinese mitten crab, Eiocheir sinensis, in the Raritan Bay, NJ. Project involved sampling in riverine and estuarine environments and mapping distribution using Geographic Information System (GIS).
