How It Works

Radiofrequency (RF) technology has been safely used in various medical applications for more than 75 years. It tightens the skin by encouraging collagen production. ThermiRF enables Dr. Calobrace to precisely locate an area for treatment and then apply a controlled dose of radiofrequency energy to the targeted area. ThermiAesthetics™ technology delivers and continuously monitors the energy below the skin surface, which allows our doctors and clinicians to administer precise amounts of heat to the collagen layer for maximum skin tightening. This controlled system ensures greater comfort, safety, and better results for patients.

Improvements From ThermiRF Treatments

We use ThermiRF to perform a family of procedures that are safe for all skin types and for both light and dark complexions. It can be applied to the face and body to provide a variety of benefits, including:

Effective Wrinkle Treatment

The ThermiRase™ procedure, one of several options available with the ThermiRF system, can suspend the muscle activity that causes frown lines between the eyes without the use of neurotoxins.

About ThermiRase Treatments

To treat frown lines, first a local anesthetic is applied to the skin. Then, a probe is inserted just under the skin to locate the target nerve that causes the facial muscle to contract and form the creases. Controlled radiofrequency energy is administered to the nerve to disrupt its ability to signal the muscle to contract, a process called nerve ablation. Many patients notice improvement immediately after treatment. Downtime is minimal. Results may last for more than 2 years, although this varies between individuals.

Skin Tightening & Fat Reduction With ThermiTight™

ThermiTight treatments, another option available from the ThermiRF system, can improve facial and body contours through skin tightening and fat reduction. Both are performed in our office with a local anesthetic.

• Skin tightening is a non-invasive option that delivers radiofrequency energy to beneath the skin. Uses include firming and smoothing sagging eyelids and lip lines around the mouth.
• Fat reduction is a minimally invasive option that delivers and monitors energy below the surface of the skin, directly into the collagen layer. A tiny probe is inserted under the skin that delivers a prescribed dose of safe radiofrequency energy to melt targeted fat cells. The temperature is adjusted by our experienced clinicians to ensure comfortable and effective treatment for every patient. Results appear in 6 to 12 weeks as the body naturally flushes out targeted fat tissue.

Depending on the depth and severity of your facial wrinkles, your skin’s elasticity, the areas to be treated, and the results you want, multiple ThermiRF treatments may be required. Your Recovery

After your treatment, you may notice some mild swelling or redness in the treatment area for a few hours. You may resume normal activities immediately after treatment.
